Sport band and linux

An old post, but if anyone is still interested I have done it thus:
1) Go here http://knz-blue.cocolog-nifty.com/memo/2010/06/nike-sportband.html
and download SportBandUtility20101202.tar.gz
2) Unpack the tar.gz archive and cd to the directory sportsbandutility
3) type: make
4) connect the sportsband to the computers usb port type: ./SportBandGetTrack (make sure the file is execution-able)
5)you should now have a file named SportBand.dump this contains the raw data from the sportsband. Note: the file will only contain information if you have a new run on the device.
6) you need to convert the raw data to an xml file with the command: ./parselog SportBand.dump (the parselog file is in the same directory
7) you will now see an xml file in the same directory. Unfortunately runometer.com would not accept this file when I tried to upload it so there is an additional step
8) Download and install running tracker here http://runningtracker.tuxfamily.org/index.php?title=Download
9) run running tracker and go to File - Add NikePlus workout then open your previously created .xml file.
10) in running tracker go to file and save as xml you can then upload the saved file to runometer.com
A bit complex I know, but I haven't found an alternative yet.

windows xp: can't find ipod through windows

XML Data from the nike website

Hate to necro this thread but I'm new to the Sportband. Has this info been posted? How do you get the data from Nike's site? Personally, I wish there was a way to get it from the Sportband without having to upload it. Nike's site has way too much flash/glitz.

Just checked the logs. The last entry that I uploaded last week is now shown in my profile, amidst the error .

The RSS feed is so cool. =)

Will try to upload another file tonight and see how it goes.

Sorry for the late reply.

Encountered the following error when I am trying to upload the latest file.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 75 bytes) in /usr/local/runometer/lib/data_objects.inc on line 183

Where can I send the file to?

BTW, I check the "Notify me when the reply is posted", but I dun get a reply at all in my email.
Any idea, why?
